JEE Main 2028, JEE Advanced & boards: what to expect
Under the current NTA pattern, JEE Main Paper 1 is a 3-hour computer-based test with 75 compulsory questions (25 each in Physics, Chemistry and Maths) for 300 marks, with +4 for a correct answer and −1 for a wrong one. It is held in January and April; your better score counts. Top candidates qualify for JEE Advanced, usually in May. Class 12 board exams fall between the two JEE Main sessions, in February–March 2028.

How the JEE 2028 study plan works
The plan finishes Class 12 by 30 November 2027, runs full-length JEE mocks in December and January for Session 1, switches to board revision in February–March, and returns to JEE mocks for Session 2 in April and JEE Advanced. Access lasts until 31 May 2028.

When is JEE Main 2028?
Based on the usual NTA schedule, Session 1 is expected in January 2028 and Session 2 in April 2028. NTA announces the exact dates in its information bulletin on jeemain.nta.nic.in.
How do you balance JEE and Class 12 boards?
Every topic is taught at board level first, then at JEE level. The syllabus ends by 30 November 2027 so December–January can go to JEE mocks, and February–March is a dedicated board block before Session 2.
Do you revise Class 11 topics?
Yes. Class 11 JEE topics are revised through weekly mixed tests and short revision lectures throughout the year.
Do you prepare students for JEE Advanced?
Yes. After JEE Main Session 2, qualifying students get JEE Advanced-level papers and analysis until 31 May 2028. Star Max adds advanced problem-solving modules all year.
Are classes in Hindi or English?
Classes are taught in Hinglish, a mix of Hindi and English. Notes, DPPs and tests are in English.
Will lectures be live or recorded?
All three subjects are taught live, 5 days a week with 2 classes a day. Every lecture is recorded and available until 31 May 2028.
